Joe and Herman are two homeless men who occupy an abandoned inner-city alleyway. Every night Herman asks Joe to tell him a story and every night Joe obliges. Through Joe's stories the pair travel the world and experience everything that reality has deprived them of. Will Joe be able to take Herman somewhere new? And even more importantly will Joe be able to bring him back?

"Australian Summer" explores the blurred boundaries between reality and fantasy and is a celebration of the power of a good story and the spirit of our imaginations.
