Technical Account Manager: Online Video

Switch Media design, develop and deliver tailored IP video solutions for a diverse range of industries including Broadcast Media, Live Event Broadcast, Government & Enterprise, Education Transport Applications, and Law Enforcement & Judiciary.

With a client base that includes FOXTEL, SBS, Fairfax Media, Fox Sports, the ABC, Network Ten, the Australian Federal Parliament and RMIT, Switch Media has the experience and expertise to enable clients to deliver a superior Live and Catch-Up viewing experience to their audience – anywhere, anytime, on any device.

We are seeking a technically strong Account Management Executive to join our growing and talented team based in Jones Bay Wharf, Pyrmont. You will report to the Sales Director and manage several Switch Media’s accounts. You will be engaged in on-boarding new clients ensuring they get a first-class experience.

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Ownership of account relationship
  • Key point of contact during on boarding supported by project team
  • Primary communication channel between client and Switch project and technical teams
  • Ensure the client’s business needs are met with Switch Media’s products and services
  • Identify and support development new opportunities in your accounts
  • Provide an escalation point where needed, working closely with both operations and support teams

You are a customer focused yet technically savvy account executive who has some understanding of online video. OTT systems, apps and the digital landscape.

You will be supported in the process by a highly skilled cross-functional team consisting of solutions architects, business analysts, product managers and solutions architects.

Your technical understanding has been gained either via formal education or as part of your roles in either technical or digital roles to date.

Key Requirements

  • Proven client relationship management in medium and large size organisation
  • Experience in working across a variety of functional departments
  • Good networking and interpersonal skills to foster strong relationships
  • Experience in ad tech / monetisation technologies is highly regarded
  • Experience in Software as a Service, Mobile Applications or CMS is highly regarded
  • Knowledge of OTT, broadcast systems and systems are mandatory
  • Salesforce experience highly regarded
  • Professionally presented, well-spoken and polished communication skills with an ability to build rapport easily
  • Some national and international travel may be required

iOS Developer

Switch Media specialises in delivering tailored IP video solutions for a diverse range of industries including Broadcast Media, Government, Education and Retail Security. Our clients include FOXTEL, Fairfax Media, ABC, Channel Ten, Australian Federal Parliament, and RMIT.

We are seeking to appoint a passionate iOS Developers to join our talented team of engineers based in Pyrmont. The role will be focusing on the development of high-profile, complex, online TV mobile apps for iOS devices and will provide the opportunity to get involved in the future of television and entertainment.

At Switch Media we provide our engineers with the very best tools and follow practical, engineering processes. We use Atlassian JIRA, Confluence, Bamboo, Stash and HipChat. We build our mobile apps using Xamarin and we follow the Scrum process using certified Product Owners and Scrum Masters.

Your key responsibilities will include:

    • The Design and development of iOS applications using Xamarin iOS for our new projects
    • Supporting and enhancing existing Xamarin iOS applications for iPhone and iPad
    • Producing quality, tested code, following industry best-practices
    • Taking part in code reviews with your peers
    • Being a productive and enthusiastic member of the Scrum team

Your skills and experience:

    • Experience using Xamarin / C# will be highly regarded
    • Excellent communication skills
    • BA/MS degree in Computer Science or equivalent
    • Commercial experience developing iOS applications
    • Knowledge of Objective-C, Xcode, iOS SDK
    • Experience of being part of a Scrum team
    • Portfolio of apps available on the App Store
    • Strong understanding of Object Oriented principles
    • A video streaming background is a plus
    • A passion for building quality mobile applications
